Shortly after Mt Rainier was established tin 1899, the National Park Inn was constructed in 1906 on the site of the original Longmire homestead at Longmire Springs and Meadow. I have never stayed at the Inn, but I have enjoyed many delighful evenings on the porch watching the changing light on the mountain as the sun sets. I go back whenever I can. It is definitely a must-see place to visit.
