Description
Sun Lake is a remnant of the cataclysmic flow of the diverted Columbia River through the Lower Grand Coulee during the Ice Age. Dry Falls at the northern end of the coulee was created at that time Dry Falls and the canyon below were left dry after the river returned its pre-Ice Age channel.
