Description
This "3-truck geared steam locomotive" is one of the locomotives in service for the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad. It was built in 1929 by Willamette Iron and Steel Works for the J. Neils Lumber Company in Klickitat, Washington and sold to Rayonier, Inc. in Sekiu, Washington where it was in operation from 1949 until 1962. It is the only operational Willamette-built locomotive in the world.

Great work with b/w ! I can not remember seeing one like this.

This is the only one of this type still operating. I think that the 3-truck gear type means that it is driven by the 3-truck-like pistons, just in front of the cab.
