Description
The old Prosser Grain Elevator, located near the Burlington Railroad line, is the tallest structure in the City Of Prosser. Sadly the grain elevator, along with the neighboring M&E Feed Store, was burned to the ground in a horrific fire on May 25, 2022. It seems as if the entire town of Prosser turned out to see the demise of the historic structure. For a long time the steel siding held the erect while the interior wood structure burned before it collapsed. The fire is thought to have started by spontaneous combustion of the grain within the elevator.

You're making me homesick, Charles. :) Great shot!
Charles Robinson replied:
It's funny, Carol. How many times over the years have I looked at this structure? It really is sort of ugly, but last week when I shot this photo, it actually looked pretty good.
