Artist's Description

The Drumheller Channels located south of Moses Lake are a prominent feature of the Great Missoula Lake Ice Age Flood. As the water roared across eastern Washington, it carved these 100-foot cliffs, ravines an coulees into the basalt landscape. There are numerous lakes within the Drumheller Channels. These are known as seep lakes which were created by water seeping from the Potholes Reservoir that were impounded by O'Sullivan Dam in 1949 as a part of the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project,
