Artist's Description
A lock on the historic Ohio Erie Canal at Station 3533 still forms a little waterfall on this remaining section of the canal approximately six miles notth of the tiny village of Yellowbud, Ohio and approximately ten miles west of Circleville. It appears as if operation of this lock was very simple. Take the boards out to lower the water and put them back in to raise the water level. This section of the canal ws completed around 1831.
