I found this old photograph of the Ohio Erie Canal south of Chillicothe, Ohio, dated 1875. It shows three locks on the canal with the Three Locks Road adjacent to the canal. The Scioto River is to the right or east side of the road. I applied color to replicate how the site might have looked in 1875. The image shows a canal boat in the locks going downstream and another waiting to enter the locks to go upstream.
