In his book Charles Robinson explores the hypocrisy in the Christian Church as they blindly accept the lies of Donald Trump. By believing his lies as if they were the truth, the credibility of the church members and their testimony of God's influence and the saving grace of Jesus in their life is jeopardized.

In exerpt from the book I summarize what I see as the heart of problem:

Who is a fool? What is the definition of a fool? Dictionary.com (4) defines a fool as:
1. A silly or stupid person; a person who lacks judgment or sense.
2. A professional jester, formerly kept by a person of royal or noble rank for amusement: the court fool
3. .A person who has been tricked or deceived into appearing or acting silly or stupid: to make a fool of someone.

.There are many references in the Bible that say that he who lies is a fool and he who believes a lie is likewise a fool.
A person testifying in court, whether for the prosecution or for the defense, is a witness. He must take an oath to be a faithful witness, thus he must not lie about what he saw or heard. If he does so he will be found guilty of perjury and will be prosecuted along with the person who is on trial. “A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies.” Proverbs 14:5 {NKJV}
Perhaps even worse is that the witness would accept and believe the lie told by the defendant who is on trial. Witness tampering is defined as the act of attempting to improperly influence, alter or prevent the testimony of witnesses within criminal or civil proceedings. We see proof of this happening regarding the lies that are told by Former President Trump. The members of Congress and the Senate have publicly acknowledged that they will do or say whatever Trump asks them to do.
Why? The reason seems obvious. Trump has a god-like hold on them. They are afraid that they will not receive the support of, or the blessing of Trump in their bid for re-election. In my quest to do the will of God, I prayerfully seek His guidance. The same is presumably true for the majority of the Fundamental Christians. When I/they act according to God’s will we receive His blessing and the assurance that we are His children.
Donald Trump, as a man, has no such power. However, if I yield that power to him, he does have power because I have surrendered my mind and will to him. But,
• Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness.” Romans 6:16 {ESV}

Are you a slave? Are you a servant of God that leads to righteousness? Your answer to that has to be, “Yes.” However, you in this case would probably be more like an indentured servitude that is a form of labor in which a person (an indenture) agrees to work without salary for a specific number of years through a contract for eventual compensation or debt repayment. An indentured servant agrees to work for his master, often so that he will earn his freedom. This agreement is unlike that of the slave, as the Israelites in exile in Egypt and Babylon, or in the early history of the United States, who were forced to against their will at the mercy of their master.
But there is another part to that scripture that warns that you are a slave of the one whom you obey, meaning you may be slave of sin that leads to death. Being a slave to sin would, of course, apply to our own sins, but also to being a slave of others who practice sin, such as believing in, obeying, and repeating the lies of the fool and false gods such as Donald Trump.
Paul in his epistles tells us what our relationship with our master should be.
• “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24 {ESV}
o You will receive the inheritance of eternal life as your reward if work heartedly for the Lord and not for men.
o So, who is your master? Is it God or is it man (i.e. Trump)? It is your choice.
