These are the roots of the World's largest Sitka Spruce tree, Picea sitchensis, which is located on the south shore of Lake Quinault in the Quinault Rainforest in Olympic National Park. The majestic tree has a circumference of 58 feet, 11 inches, or approximately 18 feet, 9 inches. in diameter. It is 191 feet tall and is estimated to be about 1000 years old.
