The #17 Steam Locomotive is the primary work horse for the Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad running from Mineral to Elbe, Washington. This locomotive is a Type "2-8-2T" built in 1929 by the American Locomotive Company for the Crosset Western Company in Wauna, Oregon and sold to Hammond Lumber Company in Samoa, California in 1942.
