Description
Short Covered Bridge spanning the South Fork of the Santiam River is one of the 51 historic covered bridges in Oregon and is the easternmost of the 9 covered bridges in Linn County. The bridge built in 1945 is 105 feet long. The bridge was originally known as the Whiskey Butte Bridge but was later officially named the Short Bridge in honor of Gordon Short, a long time resident of the area. The bridge is located just off Hwy 20, known as the Santiam Hwy at the little town of Cascadia, approximately 12 miles east of Sweet Home, Washington.
