I love the feel of sunshine in this painting, Charles! My great-great-great grandfather, Thomas Jones founded Jefferson Furnace in Oak Hill in 1854. I should really go and see what is there today!....fav/v5

Charles Robinson replied:

Thank you very much, Karen. It was good of you to share about your grandfather and his founding of Jefferson Furnace. Most of those old iron furnaces of that era are gone. I would love to see your photographs of the furnace if you find it.

Hi Charles! I noticed you visited my gallery and commented on my tree triptych! Thank you! I thought I would come by and see what you have been up to. I am really glad I did...I am really enjoying your gallery. You have a wonderful collection of paintings and photos! I have added you to my watch list, by the way! I really like this painting....you have used the darkness and light beautifully here! Well done! L
