Description
Martha Leland Crowley tragically died of typhoid fever at the camp of the first emigrant wagon train to arrive in Oregon over the Applegate Trail in 1846. Her headstone and coffin were built using sideboards from the wagon, which had brought her to within days of the "Oregon Promised Land."
