Description
The amazing cliffs of Frenchman Springs Coulee west of Moses Lake are one of the amazing features of the Ice Age Flood. The flood waters were temporarily blocked by the Frenchman Hills south of Moses Lake. The water backed up creating a lake within what is now known as Quincy Basin. The waters drained by cutting a channel through Frenchman Springs Coulee and the Drumheller Channels to the south. Frenchman Springs Coulee is one of the larger coulees of the Ice Age Flood rivaling the Grand Coulee in width and depth.
