The Chillicothe Gazette Building located on Main Street in downtown Chillicothe is a replica of the first capital building of Ohio. Chillicothe was the first capital of the State of Ohio from 1803 to 1810 and again from 1812 to 1816 before the state capital was permanently moved to Columbus.
