The sun begins to set behind Benton Hall marking the end of another day at Oregon State University. OSU began as Corvallis College, which was founded in Benton Hall in 1889. As the school expanded it was re-dedicated as the Oregon Agricultural College in 1927 and was granted university status, becoming Oregon State University in 1961. Oregon State is still affectionately referred to as the Oregon Cow College.
