Description
The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River, Oregon has this beautiful 1910 Brush Runabout on display. It was touted as "Every Man's Car in an advertising poster found on line says,"Think about it... $485 for the best-built, most thoroughly proven, easiest riding, most economical, handiest small car in the world." Power was provided to the Brush Runabout by a large single cylinder water-cooled engine. Additional features unique to the Brush automobile was a wooden chassis, actually wooden rails and iron cross-members, friction drive transmission and coil springs in tension instead of compression.
